Can This Proxy Help Avoid Being Blocked?
For any IP type, abuse can eventually lead to blocking. For example, if the same proxy IP sends requests to the same website too frequently, that website may block the IP.
To reduce the risk of access restrictions or bans caused by high request frequency or fixed IP usage, a simple and effective strategy is to implement the following two settings in your scraping tool:
① Set a request interval: You should define a reasonable interval between each network request, in other words a request rate limit. This helps simulate human browsing behavior and prevents the target website from treating fast request bursts as malicious activity. By tuning this interval, you can reduce the load on the target server and lower the risk of being blocked.
② Enable random IP rotation: Another key step is to configure your scraping tool to use random IP rotation. This means each outgoing request is routed through a different IP address, further masking your real identity and location. This can be implemented with proxy IPs. Because each request comes from a different IP, the target website will have a harder time tracking and identifying your scraping behavior, which improves your chances of successfully collecting data.
